During the 2008 financial crisis, Duke MBA career coach Steve Dalton was inspired to create practical networking instructions to help his overwhelmed students. He has since delivered hundreds of workshops at top universities and Fortune 500 companies on these advocacy-building methods, later featured in his best-selling Penguin Random House books, "The 2-Hour Job Search" and "The Job Closer." These books have sold over 100,000 copies and are taught at over 100 universities worldwide.
In 2022, Steve left his full-time career coaching role after 17 years to focus full-time on writing, speaking, and running his company, Contact2Colleague, LLC, and his insights have been featured in Harvard Business Review, the Wall Street Journal, and Fast Company among others. He holds an MBA from Duke and a chemical engineering degree from Case Western University.
